Based on the two‐spin cluster model of spin glass, the magnetization process at low T is investigated. The short‐range inter‐cluster interaction is taken into account by excitation waves, treated as free Bosons. They feel, however, additionally a Weiß‐type molecular field of long range. For certain parameter sets in the range T < T F magnetic instabilities are found, as well as metastable branches of m ( H , T )‐curves, leading to magnetization jumps, induced by external magnetic field. The phase diagram shows a line of first‐order transitions and a point of a higher‐order transition. Hysteresis and domain patterns are the usual behaviour in this region.
