Based on a generalized representation obtained in IV, the diffusion current in a macroscopically homogeneous disordered medium with varying wave intensity or quantum particle density, respectively, is determined. The conductivity can be calculated from the averaged diffusion coefficient. In the limit of long mean free path the theory essentially confirms the result of a semi‐classical treatment where each scatterer together with its correlation cloud acts as an effective scattering element whose scattering properties are influenced by interference effects.
