The shear elastic constants C 44 and C ′ = ( C 11 ‐ C 12 )/2 under pressure of the Cs 1‐ x K x , Cs 1‐ x Rb x , and Rb 1‐ x K x systems are investigated theoretically using the pseudo‐alloy atom model and the local Heine‐Abarenkov model potential. The pressure‐derivatives d B /d P , d C 44 /d P , and d C ′/d P have a maximum as function of the atomic fraction x , and decrease under compression from the data at low pressures, especially for shear coefficients.
