The emission spectra of low‐doped crystals (up to 10 ppm) of KI:TI + (as‐received, quenched and slowly cooled from 500 °C) show the presence of a center, probably a dimer center, that absorbs at λ > 2900 Å at LNT and emits in the range of the A T and A X emissions of the monomer. The emissions of this center affect the emission spectra at T > LNT also for excitation at λ < 2900 Å.
