Gibbs‐Bogolyubov variational technique is used to study ‘internal energy’ and ‘entropy’ of liquid alkali metals as well as ‘heat of mixing’ and ‘entropy of mixing’ of their equiatomic alloys. Shaw and Ashcroft forms of model potentials with Vashistha, Singwi and Shaw forms of exchange and correlation functions are used for the calculations of the said properties.
