A general expression for the rate of double spin flips in nuclear double resonance, produced in a previous paper, is evaluated for crystals of an alkali halide structure. A Gaussian approximation is used, and a number of lattice summations performed in order to obtain numerical answers for any given case. Reasonable agreement is found with the experimental values of Kunitomo and co‐workers. A statement by other workers concerning the location of the absolute maximum of the resonance is modified.
