Raman and infrared studies are performed of water vibrations of KFCT crystal in the region of 300 to 1700 cm −1 . Spectral changes are followed in the temperature interval from room temperature down to 30 K. Special attention is paid to the band at 325 cm −1 whose temperature behaviour is typical for hindered rotation modes. Its frequency change is consistent with the change of the potential barrier restricting the water motion which was reported before.
