The heat capacities of Pd–Al alloys up to 15 at% Al content were measured in the temperature range between 1.5 and 12 K. The results are discussed in terms of a band‐filling model. In this picture Al admixtures behave like Ag admixtures to Pd but contribute about three electrons to the host instead of one. Conclusions are drawn concerning the superconducting transition temperature in Pd–Al hydrides.
