The phase diagrams of the SiSn and GeSn systems are investigated using the previous electronic theory based on pseudopotentials. The calculated results negate the presence of the Si 1− x Sn x and Ge 1− x Sn x solid solutions. The obtained curves near the melting point show reasonable agreement with experimental data.
