The theory of secondary electron emission developed in Part I is applied to polycrystalline aluminum and the results are compared with experimental data. The angular distribution of secondary electrons (SE) obtained proves to be a cosine distribution in accordance with measurements. Caused by the V 220 model potential coefficient one gets an unrealistic peak at E ≈ 10 eV in the energy distribution of SE. Yield values of SE calculated for primary energies E 0 = 1 to 2 keV differ by a factor 1.5 to 2 from the measurements. SE created by plasmon decay contribute nearly 60% to the theoretical yield.
