A theoretical study of the electronic structure of the Co 3 Ti alloy is carried out in ordered and disordered states. The division of the ordered alloy energy spectrum into two band groups separated by an energy region of low state density is established. The genetic connection of the low and upper group of bands with atoms of different components and the character of wave functions in these bands are analyzed. On the basis of the calculation of the band energy the character of limited solubility of Ti in Co and the nature of the Co 3 Ti phase formation are analyzed for different alloy concentrations.
