Green's function theory for the low concentration of point defects is used to calculate the impurity induced ir absorption and Raman scattering spectra in mixed cuprous halides. The same perturbation parameters extracted from the impurity mode study provide reasonable correspondence to the Raman structure data in the band mode region recently observed by Murahashi et al. and Vardeny et al.
