The macroscopic static dielectric function is used to study the effect of anisotropy of the electron effective mass on the screened Coulomb potential of a point charge impurity in semiconductor in a uniform magnetic field. Formulae for both degenerate and classical statitsics are derived. It is also shown how the positions of Kohn anomalies change due to the orientation of the crystal with respect to the magnetic field.
