Firstly, the plasmon satellite structure is discussed in the (e, 2e) reaction in metals when a core electron is excited from a localized state. Finitely temperature effects are considered by means of a certain generalization of Nozières‐de Dominicis' theory. A Gaussian broadening is predicted for (e, 2e) spectra. FWHM is computed for Li and Na. The results are compared with other theoretical data and with the data from photoemission experiments.
