There appears to exist clear experimental evidence that the charge transfer in the organic salt NMP‐TCNQ is only partial, but there is ambiguity with respect to the exact value of it. In the present paper the material is considered as a realization of the one‐dimensional disordered Hubbard model, and a study is made of its electronic properties using as a parameter the degree of charge transfer in it. For small deviations from the complete charge transfer the results reduce to previously presented ones. For moderate and large deviations there appears a strong intrinsic static disorder, while other band parameters remain unchanged.
