The method of functional derivatives is used in the problem of two interacting impurities. The symmetric Anderson model is considered and the prescription for generating diagrams for the selfenergy and the magnetic susceptibility of localized d‐electrons is given. Correspondence is found with the case of an isolated impurity. The temperature variation of the electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility is presented and the physical mechanism are discussed.
