Abstract A new type of the Bragg reflections in the Mössbauer diffraction pattern, apart from the well‐known magnetic and quadrupole ones, is discussed. These reflections may be observed in the Mössbauer diffraction pattern only in the case when there are both the magnetic field and the electric field gradient at nuclei of Mössbauer isotope, i.e. two static internal fields with symmetries described by the ∞/m and ∞/mmm groups. The Mössbauer diffraction pattern of a KFeF 4 single crystal is considered in detail.
