The 121 Sb Mössbauer spectra of (NH 4 ) 2 Sn 1− x Sb x Cl 6 ( x = 0.13, 0.21, 0.28, and 0.33) and Cs 2 SbCl 6 are reported in the temperature range from 4.2 to 140 K. The spectra consist in the whole temperature range of two lines with isomer shifts characteristic for Sb III and Sb V ions. Not observed is the thermal activation of a fast electron transfer between the Sb III and Sb V ions suggested previously.
