It is found, from neutron critical scattering measurements, that the well‐known temperature shift of the maximum of scattering depends not only on the scattering vector, but also on the wavelength of the incoming neutrons. The results obtained are compared with the predictions of the dynamic scaling theory and a new test for the validity of this theory based on the estimation of the critical index v is proposed.
