Electron states below the conduction band in Germanium originating from dissociated 60°‐dislocations

Electron states due to the strain field from dissociated 60°‐dislocations in Germanium are calculated using effective mass methods. The strain field is found to give rise to states with energies down to ( E c − 0.08) eV.
