Positronium formation in mixed organic crystals is investigated. The size of the free volume in the neighbourhood of the strange molecule influences the lifetime of the ortho‐positronium and the width of the momentum distribution of the para‐positronium. A systematic change of positronium formation probability with the position of the substituted group in naphtalene derivatives is observed. In pyrene host crystals it is found that after addition of guest molecules a distortion of the whole momentum spectrum appears.
