Exposure of (SN) x to the vapor of Br 2 , I 2 , and ICI leads to the componds (SNBr 0.4 ) x , (SNI 0.02 ) x , and [SN(ICI) 0.1 ] x , respectively. The second and the third one of these compounds have not been reported before. In the temperature range 4.2 to 300 K the de conductivity is increased in (SN Br 0.4 ) x and (SNI 0.02 ) x and lowered in [SN(ICI) 0.1 ] x compared to the pristine (SN) x . The anisotropy of the de conductivity in (SN Br 0.4 ) x is about 10 times higher than in (SN) x . Measurements of the transverse magnetoresistance at 4.2 K in all three materials indicate increased disorder due to doping with the halogens.
