Absorption and emission spectra are measured in highly excited states of evaporated films of PbI 2 at 10 K. The spectra show that the oscillator strength of the 1s exciton decreases with the increase in the excitation intensity. This change is related to the decrease in the exciton binding energy in the highly excited state.
