An intense narrow EPR spectrum is observed at 20 and 1.5 K in lithium doped silicon, which has been mechanically affected. The spectrum exhibits an angular dependent, only partly resolved structure. The spectra at the different temperatures can be explained by assuming lithium donors in rhombic strain fields of intermediate strengths. A Dyson effect yields the line shape at 1.5 K.
