On the charge carrier mobilities in molecular crystals

The dynamics of polarons with interaction quadratic in the phonon coordinates is studied. An expression for the charge carrier mobility using the many‐body theory is derived. The temperature dependence of the charge carrier mobility exhibits similar behaviour to that for one‐phonon processes, i.e. the mobility decreases with the temperature. It is found that the higher‐order processes only decrease the value of the mobility but do not change the character of its temperature dependence.
