Nuclear double‐resonance is discussed in terms of cross‐relaxation in the rotating frame between Zeeman and secular dipolar reservoirs for each species. Temperatures are assumed for each reservoir, and the treatment limited to the case where interactions between reservoirs are less effective than those inside reservoirs. A set of four first‐order linear simultaneous differential equations is obtained for the development in time of the properties of the system.
