An exciton system with strong exciton‐phonon coupling is considered. It is shown that the virtual exchange of phonons leads to an effective exciton‐exciton interaction which cannot cause the creation of biexcitons. However it leads to the formation of exciton drops. The elementary excitations arising in the process of the desintegration of the exciton drops have superfluid properties.
