A new general approach to spin wave resonance in ferromagnetic films with surface‐region inhomogeneities is proposed. This approach is based on Wallace's perturbation method with a zeroth‐order Hamiltonian corresponding to surface inhomogeneity model. Simple formulae for energies and intensities of resonance peaks are given and numerical examples illustrate the application of the method.
