The magnetic susceptibilities of the Nb 3 Al 1− x Ge x , and Nb 3 Ga compounds are measured in the temperature range 20 to 300 K. It is shown that in the compounds investigated the temperature dependence of the susceptibility is considerably less than in other high‐temper‐ ature superconductors with A‐15 structure. It is difficult to explain the high value of T c and the small temperature coefficient of the susceptibility by the narrowness of the conduction band. It is assumed that the high coupling constant in these superconductors is determined by the properties of the electron‐phonon interaction arising as a consequence of the nearly one‐dimensional movement of the electrons.
