The influence of the electron‐hole exchange interaction on the biexciton ground state is recalculated. Due to the analytical and nonanalytical parts of the electron‐hole exchange interaction of the single exciton there exist two analytical parts. Both can be quite different in the order of magnitude. General formulas for s‐type states in cubic crystals are derived and numerical results for the ground states in CuCl and CuBr are given. Finally the results are compared with experimental data.
