Analysis of the excitation spectrum of extrinsic photoconduction in evaporated amorphous tetracene films in terms of exciton diffusion theory yields a diffusion length l d = (1000 ± 250) Å for triplet excitons. From pulsed photoconductivity measurements the lifetime of free excitons is found to be (0.6 ± 0.1) μs. The triplet exciton diffusion coefficient is D = (1.6 ± 0.8) × 10 −4 cm 2 s −1 .
