The temperature dependence of the integrated intensity of optical magnon sidebands and the differential extinction coefficient of inelastic light scattering in two‐sublattice antiferromagnets with spin S = 1 are calculated. The zeroth approximation of the self‐consistent‐field method (SCFM) with exact allowance of the single‐ion anisotropy is considered. The theory is applied to some antiferromagnets with Ni ions. The agreement of theoretical and experimental results is satisfactory.
