Torque measurement and electron microscopie observations of dilocations are made in Fe‐25 at% Al single crystals subjected to different heat treatments and compression. The compression‐induced magnetic anisotropy is explained in terms of dislocation density and its distribution accordeng to a previously proposed model. The expermental results show a better agreement with the calculated results when such an effect is taken tnto acfcount that the dislocation which crosses the thermally induced APB(2) produces the new APB(2) over the slip plane.
