The influence of annealing on the absorption edge of some glasses based on CdAs 2 was studied. Samples annealed at t < t g ( t g , being the softening temperature) behave similarly as non‐annealed samples. Their properties are discussed in terms of the CS concept. Samples annealed at t ≈ t g recrystallize. The influence of disordering on the band structure of compounds CdAs 2 , and CdGeAs 2 is discussed.
