The effect of interstitial impurities on the thermodynamical properties of a plane Union Jack lattice was studied. The impurities are located on the next‐nearest neighbour bonds only and affect the exchange interaction between the corresponding lattice sites. The phase transition temperature as a function of the impurity concentration is obtained exactly. The case in which the impurity cuts the exchange bond between the next‐nearest neighbours is described in detail.
