The zero‐phonon line structure of the singlet‐doublet transition in systems with a static Jahn‐Teller effect is investigated; the perturbation splitting of the zero‐phonon lines is supposed to be small. The results obtained can be used for the interpretation of optical spectra in tetragonal systems and dimer molecules.
