Shubnikov‐de Haas oscillations in the longitudinal magnetoresistance of heavily‐doped p‐type germanium (p ≈ 3.9 × 10 18 cm −3 ) are observed for H parallel to 〈100〉, 〈110〉, and〈111〉. The direction‐dependent behaviour of these oscillations shows the anisotropy and non‐equidistance (Luttinger effect) of the light‐hole Landau levels.
