An effect is investigated of the energy band non‐parabolicity on the scattering and transformation processes of electromagnetic waves on fluctuations in the non‐equilibrium semiconductor plasma. It is shown that the deviation of the carrier energy dispersion law from the isotropic parabolic one in a high electric field leads to a new mechanism of the light scattering which does not occur in the equilibrium plasma. The cross section of the electromagnetic waves scattering and transformation on fluctuations in the non‐equilibrium semiconductor plasma essentially depends on the energy band shape and magnitude and orientation of the external electric field.
