We consider the linear‐chain zero‐bandwidth Hubbard Hamiltonian with added nearest‐neighbor interactions, with a magnetic field present. Exact expressions for thermo‐dynamic quantities are obtained in simple closed form for the half‐filled band. The qualitative behavior of the expressions for susceptibility and specific heat is discussed with a view toward recent studies of the organic salt NMP‐TCNQ.
