Quantum mechanical treatment of the “Rosette‐Motion” channeling of energetic electron beams is developed. Energy levels and scattering angles corresponding to channeling are determined. Detailed calculations are performed for W〈111〉 for various energies. The lifetime of such quantum states is discussed making use of the mean free path due to lattice vibrations.
