Mössbauer spectra of mixed (NH 4 ) 2 Sb x Sn 1− x Cl 6 crystals with x = 0.02, 0.06, 0.08, 0.19, 0.24, and 0.28 were investigated in the temperature range 77 to 150 K. On the basis of the obtained data a packing model of the mixed crystals is proposed. A transition is found in the crystal with x = 0.28: below a critical temperature region Sb 3+ and Sb 5+ ions are ordered and above they have the average valence of Sb 4+ . This transition is interpreted on the basis of the co‐operative interaction of electron pairs.
