Under special consideration of the magnetic terms, the micromagnetic theory of super‐conductivity is employed to calculate the interaction between flux lines and elastic dipoles. The interaction force between one flux line and one elastic dipole with cubic symmetry is given analytically. The average pinning force due to the interaction with many point defects isobtained by a statistical treatment which considers the spatial fluctuations in the dipole density and the flexibility of the flux lines.
