The basic relations of the quantum theory of the electron liquid of a metal in a magnetic field are formulated. On the basic of a proposed approximation for the kernel of the Fermi‐liquid interaction the quantum oscillations of the effective magnetic moment of the quasi‐particles are considered. Taking into account two constants of the Fermi‐liquid interaction and assuming them to be small, the frequencies of spin waves propagating across the direction of a magnetic field are obtained. The quantum oscillations of the frequencies and the spin magnetic susceptibility are discussed.
