On the assumption of a weak electron‐magnon interaction, a dispersion equation is obtained for magnons in the presence of an electromagnetic wave. It is shown that the correction added to the frequency and damping of a magnon on account of interaction with the electrons may undergo oscillations. Some possible consequences of this effect are discussed, particularly, in connection with the problem of spin wave amplification.
