In order to test the accuracy of the eigenvectors associated with the ionic motions which one gets from the Breathing Shell Model (BSM) of Schröder in NaI the nuclear quadrupole relaxation times have been calculated as function of temperature at both Na 23 and I 127 sites and these are compared with the experimental results.
