Results of Fe 57 Mössbauer measurements are used for the analysis of the electronic state of Fe impurity atoms in A II B IV C 2 Vternary compounds. The Mössbauer parameters have been analyzed and the effective charges of the Fe impurity atoms are evaluated on the basis of a MO (molecular orbital) cluster formed by the central Fe atom and the atoms of the matrix compound located in the two first coordination spheres in the A II B IV C 2 Vcrystal. The possibility of using the results obtained for the analysis of the state of Fe impurity atoms in A III B V binary compounds is discussed.
