The phonon frequencies and the binding energies of alkaline earth metals Ba, Sr, and Ca have been computed using the two parameter model pseudopotential proposed by Krasko and Gurskii. The exchange and correlation effects in the Hartree dielectric function have been adequately considered in the manner of Singwi et al. The calculated results are compared with experimental data. Reasonable agreement is found between experiment and theory.
