A method used previously to investigate the influence of charged donors on the density of states when an impurity band is formed is extended to the case when a magnetic field is present. The density of states is calculated for various magnetic fields for concentrations typical of InSb at the metal–insulator transition. For sufficiently low concentrations splitting of the baud can take place as in the absence of a magnetic field.
