It is suggested that the effects of bulk lattice polarization are not necessarily ignorable in the analysis of F‐centre electric‐field‐effect electron‐nuclear double resonance data, as was thought previously. Estimates of those contributions to contact hyperfine interaction shifts which are attributable to electric field induced lattice polarization are found to be comparable in magnitude to the corresponding values extracted from high pressure ENDOR measurements.
