A generalized Ginzburg‐Devonshire thermodynamic theory is considered in the case of ferroelectric solid solutions in which the dependence of the corresponding thermodynamic potential on the impurity concentration is used. The analytical expressions of a number of physical characteristics are obtained as a function of impurity concentration: the phase transition temperature, the polarization, the dielectric constant, and the heat capacity. The effect of an external electric field on the behaviour of different physical characteristics near the phase transition of the second order is considered as well.
